Wizard Glove is an experiment — a gesture game that runs on a webcam, in a browser. Playing it means accepting the handful of things below.
It is provided as is
There is no warranty and no guarantee that it works, keeps working, or is available tomorrow. It can be changed or taken down at any time, and scores can be reset. No account, no payment, nothing to cancel.
You need a camera
There is no version of this that works without one, and it needs a desktop browser with hardware acceleration switched on. What the camera is used for is set out in the privacy page, and the short version is: hand tracking, on your own machine, with nothing recorded.
Stand back until both arms are in frame. The game reads a cast from how far your hands travel, so a camera that can only see your face and your wrists cannot score you — and if you have more than one camera, the picker under the preview switches between them.
Names on the leaderboard are public
If you post a score, the name you type is shown to everyone who opens the leaderboard. Do not type anything you would not want on a screen in a room full of people, and do not type anybody else's personal details. Entries can be removed by whoever runs the board.
Look around you first
You play this by throwing your arms out in front of you, hard enough that the game can tell it was a throw. Stand somewhere with room. You are responsible for what your hands hit — furniture, lamps, other players, yourself.
Do not rely on it
This is not a fitness product, a medical device, or a measurement of anything about your body. The scores are a game's opinion of a gesture.
